Bertrand Guillet, Director of the Château des ducs de Bretagne , Musée d’histoire de Nantes
We wanted to create a model of the Château des Ducs de Bretagne to showcase recent historical and archaeological knowledge about the monument. We put together a scientific committee that supported us throughout the project. The relationship that we maintained with Cent Millions de Pixels and this scientific committee was very pleasant and successful. The working method, which consisted of establishing work sessions together over several months to discuss each element to represent each era, was incredibly valuable for learning and facilitated the progression of research. We can now offer visitors a representation of the château over five different eras as never seen before. The Cent Millions de Pixels team also knew how to meet our expectations in terms of artistic direction. We wanted to move away from the traditionally somewhat distant images of digital models. Result: we have a fantastic depiction thanks to its watercolour appearance and the colours that evoke each period. We are not the only ones who appreciate this model as the first rounds of visitors were very positive.
Vincent Roblin, Director of the Adrien Mentienne Museum, Ville de Bry-sur-Marne
Cent Millions de Pixels and their partner, MG Design, have fully met our expectations with the design and creation of the website for the Adrien Mentienne Museum in Bry-sur-Marne, for the purpose of broadcasting and making available municipal collections to the largest audience possible. The four main museum collections have been brilliantly staged and shown off in four fun and interactive animations. The website, which is based around a tiled welcome page with vibrant graphic representations of each exhibition, makes it possible to easily access these animations and offer a variety of other information sections about the collections and museum life. Throughout the seven months spent on the design process, Martial Brard, Charlotte Didier and Vincent Guerin stood out due to their attentiveness, willingness, dynamism and creativity, while also always proposing solutions adapted to the specific type of works and documents. The wealth and quality of the discussions with the museum team largely contributed to the success of the project. I will have excellent memories of this lovely and successful collaboration!
Marie-Pierre Osmont, Manager of Hambye Abbey, Département de la Manche
For the “Hambye 3D” project, we wanted a quality digital restoration of the medieval abbey, to bring added value to the abbey as a mediation site, while respecting its identity and adapting to considerable technical constraints and respecting a tight budget. Cent Millions Pixels rose to the challenge with great enthusiasm, and successfully coordinated a dynamic, quick-thinking team, constantly striving for the best possible solution. Over the months spent developing this project, we were able to appreciate the great quality of the communication with Martial and Charlotte, who were always attentive to our needs and concerned with giving us exactly what we required. The result is a unique system, exceptional graphic performance, adapted to the site and its small team, delivered on time and the fruit of a rich and friendly collaboration. We are keen to further this collaboration in the coming months with a version of the system with other media!
Marie Bonnabel, Curator at the Church of the Jacobins, Ville de Toulouse
Collaborating with Cent Millions de Pixels was a delight and the result can really be felt. I wanted to develop a tour with fairly strict criteria of the Church of the Jacobins for families: to stimulate observation, to encourage young and old participants to collaborate, have fun, be active, use the drawing power of digital devices without becoming a slave to them. Cent Millions de Pixels gave a personalised response to this commission while also making proposals and fully contributing to the playful spirit of the project. In addition, the quality of the communication, the availability, attentiveness and creativity of Cent Millions de Pixels, but also their meticulousness in terms of managing schedules, technical aspects and the budget have made developing this digital tablet a very pleasant and satisfactory experience.
Marc Metay, Director of the Château royal d'Amboise
AWith the new iPad tour "Au Service de Roy. Amboise 1518", Cent Millions de Pixels perfectly grasped our intention to immerse the visitor in History. The fact that Cent Millions de Pixels was so attentive to our needs was a key factor in the success of this personalised project carried out by just two people. The recommendation to use 3D animations and Motion capture proved to be particularly relevant for re-enacting the events of 1518, by adopting all the conventions of hero-fantasy video games, by distilling a host of information using cinematics, games and documentary databases ... Teenagers, who apparently don't "do " History all love it!
Bruno Dufaÿ, Head of the Archaeological Department at the Indre-et-loire Council
It was a pleasure to work with Martial Brard of Cent Millions de Pixels because he was attentive and developed an authentic human relationship, proposing an artistic approach with the ability to bring scientists’ requirements to life. He didn’t do anything by half measure, and he is constantly looking to add that little extra which would arise while we were discussing and developing the 3D model. Basically, it involved real interaction, not simply a service. The result of this interaction has produced attractive restorations, which are a highlight of the new exhibitions of the monuments in the Indre-et-Loire departmental council. This is why we had the pleasure in 2014 of jointly presenting a paper at the University of Nantes to explain the mutually beneficial appeal of a close collaboration between archaeologists and computer graphics designers.
David Martin, Director General of the abbaye royale de Fontevraud
With the "boZZons" project, we needed to combine a narrative system, a strong fun dimension and technical expertise in order to offer an educational experience at the Royal Abbey that would be really stimulating for young visitors, while being an effective medium for learning about history and architecture. Cent Millions de Pixels has not only managed to meet these objectives but also to contribute its experience and creativity to the continued success of boZZons, more than three years after its launch.
