Since early July 2019, visitors have had the opportunity to discover the physiognomy of the Abbey of Hambye in the Middle Ages thanks to a unique digital tool, custom-designed by the MG Design team, Born scénographie, Arnaud Jeuland, Ubiscène and Cent Millions de Pixels
Three movable stands, arranged at 3 carefully chosen viewpoints (courtyard, cloister, inside the abbey church), are each equipped with 2 large-format digital tablets in a protective casing. Visitors can take hold the tablet, which displays the view from the 15th century, from the point where they are standing. From each viewpoint, the entire area can be explored at 360°, as the medieval view is overlaid upon the real life view. This experience is mainly based on contemplation and switching back and forth between the current view and the digital view.
Cent Millions de Pixels produces all the audiovisual content of the devices: Scientific monitoring, 3D modelling, texture, lighting, shooting with actors, 3D sound system and integration, interface, communication
